If you’ve worked with a Calgary web designer sometime in the past 10 or 15 years (and who hasn’t?), you’ve probably followed a familiar process: Tell the creative team what you want, have them devise a layout, and then go back and forth with revisions until it’s ready to launch.
That process is extremely common, but it also tends to get things all wrong. Here at eKzact, we’ve built a reputation as one of Calgary’s best web design teams by doing things a little bit differently:
First, we set up a meeting with our new potential clients to find out what they really need. A lot of companies have notions about what they should get, but no firm ideas about what they actually need. We help them to understand the difference.
Then, we boil those needs down into concrete Internet marketing goals. Once we have the requirements firmly in mind, we can start to see what sort of targets need to be met to help improve the client’s bottom-line position.
Next, we turn those goals into an actionable plan we can follow. We think it’s important to develop a strong Internet marketing plan before a website has ever been launched. That way, all the pieces work together correctly.
And finally, we start working on the website and follow the process of designing and refining. Once we have a philosophy and plan of attack in place, we can start to generate the web layouts that everyone is so excited to look at.
One thing you’ll notice throughout the steps is that even though we seem to get the same kind of result, the difference in our focus takes things in an entirely new direction. In other words, we give our clients the websites they need, not just the ones that are the fastest and easiest to create.
